Hurricane Gordon is expected to track North of TX Thurs-Sat. How would this help or hurt the dove hunting here? Should we be in the field hunting or would we see less birds?

It’ll likely push birds both ways, but you won’t kill anything sitting on the couch.

It wil more than likely scatter the birds. Either push them out of make them less concentrated.

Hard to predict what it might do, just when you think it'll do one thing it does the other. If the fields are really wet and muddy, more than likely bird hunting will be slow.

Last time I hunted with a hurricane in east Texas, it sucked. It was dang windy though. Fishing was good though. You either have birds or you don't though.

A lot of rain will concentrate birds on well drained sandy hills.

We hunted a tropical depression one yr in south texas around Devine. It was on fire w birds. It was misty not full blown rain, but the birds were moving. People sat in the back of the trucks drank beer and watched us shoot. The birds were flying warp speeds with the wind. It was a fun memorable hunt

Last week in north San Antonio I saw very few doves outside 1604. Today I saw at lease 200 doves in a 2 mile section. Had to be the rain that brought them in.
