Sounds like Texas and our scorched earth policy for dealing with CWD. I thought live tests for CWD were now available?

To kill the remaining elk in a herd to eradicate what they believe is a cwd outbreak and then find out only the original tested elk was the carrier and no remaining elk in the herd were infected should be a crime of animal abuse!
