Is that a Doberman dove dog? Maybe My dad told the story of one of his hunting buddies... My dad's buddy was dove hunting by himself one afternoon, and was having a pretty good day. He had been shooting quite a bit. After about an hour, he looked up and saw this huge doberman running straight for him. Apparently there were neighbors close by, but not close enough for a random doberman to come running up. Anyway, he was a little nervous to say the least. He wasn't sure of the dog's intentions. As the dog got closer, he decided he wasn't a threat. The dog hung out with him all afternoon. and when it was time to leave, the dog went back the same way he came. The hunter wasn't sure what to make of the whole situation. Fast forward a couple weeks, the hunter was back and saw the dog in the back of a truck with an old farmer driving. They met in the road and got to talking. Turns out that the doberman absolutely loved dove heads and would make a B-line for anyone that he thought would give him some. Turns out, they lived about a quarter mile away as the crow flies.
