Limit is 6 ducks ---------- take 2 shots each to kill 3 of the birds, one shot each to kill 3 of the birds, and one extra shot to kill a cripple on the water. 10 shells is all you need to hunt ducks ------- if you shoot more than that, you are a 'blaster', not a hunter. fyi.
I shoot a 20ga o/u and dont have any problem getting my limit every time.
Can't wait for all the blasters to make their excuses why they need 50 shells to kill 6 ducks !!!!!!!

Other than 3 or 4 hunts last year I almost didn't need 10 shells all season lol

Just like with deer hunting you don't wait till the buck starts to run away to take the shot, you wait for him to stand broad side. You need to learn some patience and stop taking unethical shots. Let a group of ducks land in your decoys then shoot them on the water. I couldn't ever imagine needing 10 shells for a limit... and I certainly wouldn't post it to a public forum and be proud of it.

The real duck hunters I know are well beyond needing to prove anything. They also are wise enough to let their shooting and their dog speak for itself. To brag about either is the surest way I know to have it blow up!

Just swap that O/U out for a proper SxS and get you a good dog to eliminate those crude water swats. Probably an ESS or GSP depending upon the country of origin of your shotgun...par excellance! Of course, all true wing shots have owned at least one 16ga. 20s are just...so....common...
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.
