Im not going to sit and sulk so i am going to go standby at 1 or 2 selected hunts if i dont get picked for mule deer that is. Ive got 7 to 8 more chances at a hunt of a lifetime with the mule deer next month and then a chance on standby so i am still excited about this season and the drawn hunts no matter what happens

Just got drawn Pat Mayse Gun deer either sex and Gun deer management. Only 45 minutes from the house.

anyone notice that for gun deer either sex it doesn't say pending second drawing? It went straight to saying not selected.

Mine saying second draw except for powderhorn

mine are saying the same. Wonder why no second chance for powderhorn.

There wasn't a second drawing either for the exotic there on the draw last month.

All 5 of my remaining GDE & GDM's are shown as Pending 2nd Draws as of 2:05 pm...have never won anything from a Pending status.

Time to start working the phones looking for any Stand By opportunities next week or so. IMO the Pending status for all intents and purposes is just a way to say "don't hold your breath, but your odds of drawing a Hunt just went sky high"....but I'd take the Hunt if it was offered you betcha.

1 not selected, 2 pending second draw, and 2 still showing as Application received (Lower Rio Grande Valley exotic & Big Bend Ranch Mule). Did get antleress permit for Sam Houston though.

I would bet it is because every one sent in their payment ASAP.

Got one selected "USFS Antlerless Deer Permit - Adult" at SHNF WMA and four Pending 2nd Draw. Excited that I got one. As this is my first year I've ever put in for draws.

Blank...with "Luck" like yours, why are wasting time with such small potato's Lotteries. If I had your luck, I'd be hammering the the Big Time Mo Money deals and BUY a couple of my own wall to wall exotics place of my own, so any time the Cruise Ship home docked anywhere I'd have a place to go when I got bored with the South Seas shipboard lifestyle. Just Sayin' you have a gift no doubt, but like my grandpop used to say when I lollygagged at getting stuff done...Grand Son, Stop Burnin' Daylight. I am in awe for sure.

We've got a nephew with your kind of luck who has discovered how to cash it in and I am not jealous at all of his four 7 figure homes in 3 states and private jet lifestyle at 52 years old and ??? $M figure gross revenue...he's earned that income. Good On Ya have fun.

Just checked my email and saw I got a USFS Antlerless Deer Permit for Bannister WMA. Not my first choice in hunts, but I'll take it. I've also got 3 Pending 2 Draws, 12 Not Selected, and few yet to be drawn.

Wiley: hope I didn’t steal your tag. I know, with 16 permits and 1400 applicants that was a long shot even with 10 points. I have been told by reliable sources on this Forum, “There are no deer at Matador, only polecats and rattlesnakes”

not drawn from the 15th draw. daughter was drawn for an antlerless that we had to let go because she will be cheering at a high school football on a saturday, so congrats on whoever gets to enjoy that "pending 2nd draw" win.[i][/i]

Blank I am happy for you but I still want to throw up for not being selected to any GDE's and Yes I hate you because I am extremely jealous and envious. I enjoy reading your write ups over any others on this forum. Take pics and give us a nice write up and we might forgive you. Especially if you kill a monster!!

Impossible. I am going to call and find out the real answer. All 24 lottery winners bought their permits the minute the results are posted. Again, impossible.

That is correct. No deer at all. You will only end up with an empty cooler and chiggers on your privates.

We drew either sex at Inks Lake/Longhorn caverns State Park.
Never hunted there before,but we are excited.
Anyone have any experience with the place?
