Anybody been scouting Hebert preserve? Thinking about going Sunday morning but it’s my first time there. Any advice would be great. Thanks

It's public and opening weekend. You'll probably have more luck and be safer to go middle of the day and walk the field. If not, go very early.

My brother in law went out there a few years ago for the opener. It was a complete joke with the amount of people out there, I’m sure it will be worse with it being over a weekend.

Went there a few times last year. It's only a half-hour away from where I live.
The dove were few and far in between in each outing, to where I hardly ever got to squeeze some shots off.

It could've been the hurricane scaring them off, or the flooding make all sorts of new bodies of water in the area and scattering them about.
Then again, I might be wrong on both conclusions. confused2
