Hated to hear they closed their doors. Was my favorite pizza and folks that worked there were really good people.

That seems to be how it goes. Good places with good people (fairly uncommon) close too soon.

Well that is unfortunate. When in school at McMurry we'd usually head out to the Pizza House at least once a semester. We really enjoyed that joint.

Was in there with a friend several years ago on a fri at lunch.
Place was deserted. Wasn't to bad though.

That seems to be how it goes. Good places with good people (fairly uncommon) close too soon. The problem with family restaurants is when the family gets tired of running it, it's over. It's a grind, some of those people do it 10-15 years and it takes an amazing toll on them.

The owner, David Self died, to settle the estate they closed the Pizza House in May. It had a good run for 28 years.
