Set up 3 bait sites this weekend for the fall bear hunt. Opens in 2 weeks. Moved 900 lbs of corn a mile through the bush with no real trail. 100 lbs at a time on my back (actually my shoulders and neck mostly):  Believe it or not the three 65 lb jugs of molasses were worse as they are very awkward to carry. Took 12 hours on Saturday and and 8 hours today. I figure I hiked 36 miles between all the back and forth.

I thought carrying 12 bags of corn 600 yards in ankle deep mud was bad.... you got me beat big time!!!

So carrying my 40lb. bags of corn six feet from my ATV to my feeder makes me a wimp?  You da` man Hirogen. Especially considering you're going to have to haul that bear out that same mile.

I can't carry that much anymore (gotten too old!), but I sure can sympathize with you. I average 1,000 lbs of corn every month year around between feeders and hog traps but I only have to do some lifting here and there, not haul it like you do. I hope it all pays off for you !!
