My buddy bought one three years ago and I shot it several times at birds and targets. I hunt birds mainly with a beretta A400 xplor and while it doesn’t match up to mine, it’s half the price. His gun had nice wood and is easily handled, and functions flawlessly. He and I bird hunt together at least once a year and he loves his 300. For the money I don’t believe you can buy a gun of this quality with any other manufacturer.

I have had a A300 for a couple of year. I have hunted everything with it. My only two issues are it hates cheap cheap shells. It doesn't cycle low dram shells. Also, it jammed up during a duck hunt in the snow.

Have two. Honestly, haven’t found anything I don’t like about them. They’ve cycled flawlessly with light loads to 3”, and have hanled brutally cold temps in N Missouri without a hiccup. They handle very well for me. In that price range, I think it’s the best option.

Also, it jammed up during a duck hunt in the snow. Same thing for me. Low dram, gun needs to be super clean I buy higher dram and at least 1 1/8 ounce if not 1 1/4

It's a very dependable and extremely well made field gun. It will require minimum maintenance as long as you clean it occasionally and it will kill birds very dead.
I'd buy one without thinking twice.
--- As far as shells, NEVER buy bargain basement shells for any gun. They employ only the cheapest components which leads to terrible patterns and less kills.

I love mine, it has cycled everything from cheap light loads to expensive heavy loads without fail. Buy one you'll love it.

I have one. Bought it last year about this time. Took it dove hunting and it was great! We are going tomorrow to buy my son one as well. He has a pump now but wants to upgrade to a semi before the dove opener next Saturday.
