I have had a 7mm rem mag for a while and don’t know a lot about it.

From google I’ve determined it’s a Mauser action. Only marks are FN on the action. It’s been rebarreled/stocked in beautiful wood and a beautiful blue barrel. It has a DSC serial prefix and serial number 002.

I’ll upload pics when I get home but I’d like more information about it if possible.

Not sure what the DSC prefix means, but that is one gorgeous rifle. I'd love to have it.

Mr Brooks, while I know nothing about Mausers that appears to be a commercial Mauser 98 action. Very nicely done at that. I could be 100% wrong and that’s a restored military action but I don’t think so. Whitworth made some very nice ones as well. At any rate that’s a nice rifle sir.

Appears to be a sporting goods store in Austria. After I knew what I was looking for I found a lot of information. They are very nice rifles indeed.

I think like our Lipseys edition stuff.

Dallas Safari Club? That's a full custom with what appears to be a Gentry 3-position safety.

My initial thought was dallas safari club but doesn’t match to what I’ve seen.

I emailed the Austrian company but not sure if they will respond.

The rifle is very nice and shoots very well, just need to know it’s heritage.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Got it back out to check it over.

New details:

Safety looks to be a Dakota Arms or similar 3 position from the overall profile of the unit.

Bluing reminds me more of black chrome with very deep luster than straight bluing as seen on 1911s I’ve had.

Bolt stop/release arm has 372 stamped on top at the forward edge.

Bolt has no visible markings. Jeweling covers the entire bolt.

Trigger breaks right under 3 lbs. Crisp with no discernible overtravel.

It's ungodly nice. I'd love to have one.

Looks like one of the later commercial actions fn made. Not a supreme like the fn made browning guns it used though. Very nice actions either way.
