I have been going through my freezer trying to eat as much game as possible before hunting season gets going again. I have several zip-lock bags of quail that didn't get vacuum sealed and have some freezer burn on them. I thought I might defrost them and cut off the freezer burn and make jerky out of the rest. Has anyone make jerky out of quail? Any of you have a good recipe?

Personally I would make a stew.

If you freeze them in water they wont freezerburn either.

That is how I normally cook my quail, but since some is freezer burnt. I was thinking it may be best as jerky.

All I’m getting from this thread is you shouldn’t have killed so many Bird last year and Oxner can’t fry a Quail on the bone.
