The same out would anywhere else just check the blind before getting in.

If your that scared of snakes just build a 4 Ft platform and put the blind on it

Raider, if you're in Texas, you're in rattlesnake country. Keep your eyes open and don't get too close to them. If you're seeing a lot of them in your hunting area, snake boots or chaps and a snake charmer may give you some peace of mind. Be mindful of where you step till you figure out where you are most likely to see them and why. That's about it.

What about a hemp rope around the outside. Is this an old wise tale?

Put "Snake Away"around the perimeter of the pop up blind. Can't guarantee that it will work but have used pop ups for 15 years without finding one inside. I usually leave them for three to four days and then take them down.

You can always get one of the pop-ups with a floor. I like to weed-eat all the vegetation down so there's no good hiding spots inside. I've used the black weed block material and the 4-5" fabric staples they sell to pin it to the ground and set the blind on it. A good flashlight is your friend. I keep an extra chair in the blind to set my backpack, etc so nothing is left on the ground for something to want to crawl under it.

No that’s copperhead country. It’s like a whole other country!

Don’t forget the black widows on the blind and under your chair
