I took a buddy hunting whose father oversees several of the properties I hunt. I have hunted with him a few times before and he is a good guy. He also knows all the secret back trails and things to watch out for, so he is really handy to have along on some of these properties at night. While he grew up hunting in Montague County, he never had gotten a bobcat and the first critter we came upon was a bobcat in one of his family's fields. So Mitchell got his first bobcat. Cool!

It was a near straight-on shot and the Hornady SST bullet with all the way through the body lengthwise, blasting out the hind end in the process.

Later, we called in a coyote using his e-caller.

Somewhere along the way, my Primos Gen 3 Triggersticks he was using were jettisoned out on the highway for reasons NTSB has yet to determine, so for the final hunt, he was shooting off his knee with a little less success.

Still, it was a good night. Animals got taken. Nobody got hurt. I have a new Bog Pod on the way...
