Are terrible this year, be sure and carry some spray because if not you'll be miserable in about 10-12 hours. Worst year I've seen in a while for them.

Or don't take a shower for several days and they will stay away from you Sadly, my wife has already vetoed this method for me.

I spray my snake boots down with permethrin and wear this.
Very effective
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

Sulfur Powder regular old Sulfur powder on socks, shoes, pants and waist band . Old type remedy and it works.

Deet, minimum 40% works for me.
Spray boots and pant legs.
Ticks are bad this year too.
Check your dogs.
