Seeing lots of hogs on my game cameras, and few deer. Coincidence?

Half our feeders have hog panels. When we want to pop a few hogs we go the feeders that are open. Still the biggest bucks have been shot on feeders with no panels.

Probably so

I hunt on 3 different properties, check the camera weekly.

When the hogs come in, the deer leave. Every single time

Btw, deer hate donkeys too

Since the hogs got out of control on my neighboring properties, we rarely see deer anymore. They eat every acorn as soon as it hits the ground, root up any useful browse, and eat every small critter they can get a hold of. l don't see snakes or lizards hardly at all. They have even hurt the squirrel population by rooting up all of their stored food.
I have no problem keeping the freezer full of pork though.

Where I live and hunt the deer will run from the site of a hog/hogs. I kill or trap every hog I can so they are rare occurrence for most of the year. When they do move in they stay till I kill or trap them off. The deer are much more jumpy at anything that moves when the hogs move in. I have feed pens on every feeder also, the only one feeder without one was the one at my house. I now have a small pen around it. I have killed two hogs here at the house this year and caught a few more down by the stock tank.

The hogs wiped out about 10 years of management on our place in Palo Pinto county. They moved in in big numbers and destroyed the place. No other wildlife likes pigs.

And yet, a lot of guys continue to feed hogs year round with broadcast type feeders, thinking it's just the price to be paid to attract deer.
