What down home places for BBQ or chicken fried steak that you don't have to dress up.

Riverside market in Boerne Gone. CVS going in. The Popo's in Kerrville (old Pampell's) is the best of the two. 'Wish the Welfare one was better, but after years and years of going there, it ain't. If you gotta little green to spend on a special trip, go to Peggy's on the Green (downtown Boerne). Southern fine dining.

Fritzs BBQ isnt worth it....Skip it...Hungry Horse cafe was really good the 2 times we ate there... Down home cooking...

Too bad. Guess they couldn’t sell enough BBQ to pay the taxes on that prime piece of property.
