A co-worker of mine has inherited a SxS shotgun that was his grandmothers. It has Little Diamond on the stock. Dual hammers and triggers. Bore looks like a .410, but modern .410 shells are just lightly to big to chamber. Sooo.... 1: is it .410. 2: how old is it, and who made it and from where? 3: value if all possible. Listed below are some pictures and proof marks. When you say that a modern .410 is "too big" do you mean in diameter or length?
Most modern .410 loads are 3" long. Older .410s used to use 2.5" shells.
