I am interested what hunters think about a 4 day doe season using licenses tags... P&W is going to this very soon. I am against this because I have a high density of hunters around us. This could wipe us out of does. I have to admit I don't know the particulars yet.

Our county is a 4 day doe season. Always has been. Thanksgiving weekend. I think it sucks. Usually those are the 4 days the doe disappear.

I kill as many doe as I can every year. I’d hate to have a special doe season.

Would it benefit the public land hunter?

I am lucky that in my county I get doe permits. But there are many that are not in the local WMA coop that get any so they have to kill does in archery season or depending where they are in the county they may get doe days or shoot them off of the regular license. In my area of the county they usually allow one doe/200 acres. So it could take numbers way down in some areas that have not taken any off for years. Other areas it will not really effect the numbers much other than if it shortened the amount of days they could take does.
