One of the ranches I manage we will only be doing wounded warrior and veteran hunts going forward.
I am trying to make it as easy as possible on these guys so we are looking for a few blinds that will accommodate a wheelchair and or trackchair.
Will need to fit 2 people.

Can someone point me in the right direction

Most of the ones I have seen were homemade. They bought a wider door and set them on concrete pads with a concrete ramp into the blind. I can not remember seeing one made by the blind mfg. companies. I would talk to a couple of them to see what they could do for you. Like All Season in SA or Boss Game Systems and Blinds in Bryan. I know Boss will make custom size blinds when asked. Might try Texas Cedar Blinds in Sealy since he will do custom sizes also out of Cedar. If you have the tools and time, make them yourself.

There was a man in Abilene that built one, it was 4 steel posts on a trailer, that he could walk onto the trailer into the blind. It had a winch with a cable system that would lift the blind up about 5 foot. I saw it when it was for sale. Kind of worked like a car lift in a home auto shop, except it was cable driven and had 4 upright posts instead of 2.

Yeah I thought about making a couple. Just hard for me to find the time and I surely can’t afford a but load. I do have a couple companies willing to sponsor the blinds just don’t really like asking for stuff like that.

We have done some deer hunts and hog hunts over the last year but it kills my back to carry grown men up our stairs. Gonna figure out something.

Looks like Antler Shed Deer Blinds makes a mobile and permanent version:

Does it need to be an elevated blind?
If a ground blind is useable just park the hunter in the chair and pick up the pop up blind and set it over him.
A friend who is on crutches and can’t go through the pop up door does this. We put him on a tripod seat with the front end loader once, but he is totally stranded there until we come back.

Build normal box blinds but make them 6’-8’ instead of 4-6’. Then build a ramp at whatever height you need.

Pop ups work great for guys not in the track chairs.
I am already building a couple blinds but need to get 6-8 up before season and just don’t have time to get all done.

Do a barter deal with someone who is good at construction. Trade them a hunt for their labor and you buy the materials.

Spoke with Dillion and Antler Shed. Waiting on prices for blinds to be custom built. Looks like we will be getting 2 this year. Both companies have been all for it.

Big things coming this year.
