I'm not fluent in water pressures and pic. I have a side project at work that I want to try and I'm not sure if it's feasible.

I need to lay out 1000ft of pipe on a horizontal surface with jets every few feet that are shooting out water strong enough to clean a pen floor.

Do I need some kind of pressure booster? I just have no clue how to make this work. But if it's doable, that would be great

A lot of variables here but totally doable. You'll more than likely need a booster pump to get your pressure high enough. Do you know what your current pressure is?

What your going to want to figure out is your Friction loss based on your pipe size. For 1000ft its going to be considerable. Larger the pipe the less friction loss. Smaller the pipe even more friction loss. Friction loss basically negates your pump pressure by whatever amount it is and this will have to be overcome. Friction loss is determined by the gpm flowing, the size of the hose?piping and the length of the hose/piping. All three factors must be considered.

so, 300 nozzels spraying 1000+psi like a pressure washer? pvc ain't gonna cut it, but a lightly used oilfeild frac-pump might provide the hp needed . . . heh heh

I have just standard pressure to use, maybe 50 psi to work with.

We use hoses with nozzles on them that are probably 150psi.

I'd like to get about 200psi to the floors.

I'd need 4 total, roughly 1000' each.

Every 3' for nozzles sounds good

For the friction loss I could easily do it in 50 or 100' sections with separate supply lines, but they'd be from the same source.
