Don’t want to reinvent the wheel. What are people getting for bullet jump? .010?
143s if it makes a difference

I’ve found the ELD line to be very jump tolerant. I’m jumping a 162 ELD-M around .075” in my 7-08. Long throat, and I’m seated as long as the action will allow without notching the feed ramp. It shoots well enough (1/2 MOA), that I’ve left it alone. Same in my experience loading them for 6.5 CM. I’ve never loaded one with an AMAX or ELD that wouldn’t shoot at 2.800” OAL. And that’s jumping them a long ways in some of the rifles I’ve shot. Just like anything else, you won’t know for sure until you shoot it. If you can get 10 thousandths off the lands, and want to start there, it should do fine. But I wouldn’t be too concerned if you have to jump it a bit.

6.5mm 14O gr is currently jumping .005", with IMR-4451.
Same bullet in an H-4350 load jumped .030"
7mm 162 gr is jumping .005"
It is a bullet you can pick a depth, find the right powder charge, and you're done. I like to load as long as I can, but still fit in the mag. Makes room for power.

Asking for clarification so I understand so bear with me. Why the almost randomness between the different jump dimensions? Is it because you found out it doesn't quite matter? Meaning within a reasonable jump dim that it can be made up for in varying charge/powder selection? Is there sort of an upper limit to where even varying charge won't correct for it?

Used to be, a .030" jump with H-4350 and a 140 gr bullet was almost guaranteed to work in a 6.5 Creedmoor. And you have to jump that much to fit in an A.I. mag. 6.5 Creedmoor reamers have lots of free-bore, they just do. I even bought Tony a second 6.5 Creedmoor reamer so he would have two, and could send one off to be sharpened, and still be in service. The reamer I bought was from Creedmoor Sports and is a "match reamer". We have a tad less free-bore, but it is still significant. I removed the front plates from my A.I. mags, gaining me room to seat the bullet closer to the lands. So when I was forced to switch to IMR-4451, I gave myself extra room in the case by seating longer, but I still fit in the mag.

.010" Works well for me using 178gr ELD-X in a .308 rifle.

Sad part is I posted then realize I am using 308 at mags so the Pmag is most likely the limiting factor
