I am planning on selling a few Nubian Ibex Male and Female kids. They are not wild and you will not have any problem keeping them. Are very healthy. Were born the first part of March. $2500 each.

This is their father. They were not tagged so I do not know exactly which Nannie was their mother.

I don’t know much about goat sales, but wanted to ask, the price is the same for both male and female?

Actually right now Females until Males become shooting age are bringing the most money. the females will be having kids before that long and the males value is for hunting age rams which is several years of feeding them and hoping they live to adult hood. As long as the market is growing for the species young females will have more initial $ value than young males.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

The Females don't usually have kids before they are 2 years old. Then the first year they normally have a single kid. After that they may have a single or they may have twins. I have even ad a couple of triplets. But that does not happen very often. And when it does you usually have to take one of the kids and bottle it. Especially if it is smaller or weaker than the other two. Good thing about raising Ibex is that you very seldom have to worry about getting hurt by them. The only time I have had problems with any males is if they were bottle raised and got to tame. Bottle raised females are not a problem and they can become real pets. Males don't try making a pet out of them. They are very smart and as long as I have been doing this I learn more about their habits all the time. Mine are not wild and I have no probelms with them trying to leave. In fact after they get used to a certain area it is hard to get them to leave. A few years ago a car on the County rd. ran into my fence and tore a hole in it. I had 5 yearling males go through the hole and I found them about a mile away in a neighbors place. At a young age they are like people, calves or any other young animal. Not much in the brain department. I led them back that mile with a can of corn back into their pasture. When they got to within a 100 yards of it they finally remembered where they were supposed to be and went back in by themselves. Also there are very few exotics where you can at least double your money in probably 4 years. That is unless they die on you or get away. But if you take care of them and have deceit facilities they are not hard to raise.
