Anyone know how much it rained in Live Oak County near Three Rivers/George West last Monday and Tuesday?

Just east of IH 37/799 area over 6" while in northern Live Oak county 1 to maybe 1.5" in the Whitsett area on Tues-Thur. Just west of town was less rain but not sure how much less than east of town. I am heading over to check cattle and gauges there this afternoon. I had over 8" here in western Goliad County. Down closer to Alice was 10"+. Good rains in some areas while others got way less. The farther off the coast and farther west you were the less rain you got.

I looked up the area surrounding the lake (choke) hoping it would catch some water, fat chance, NOAA's site says it got between .25 and .5 inches. If your southeast of the lake the chances for more increase.

This site has gauges around the state. One just north of GW at the airport area shows 72 hr total of 1.31" as of 9 am this morning. Use the left tab and click on the "72 hour precip" tab. Don't know how accurate they are since the one about 2 miles from me is showing a total quite a bit less than I poured out of my gauges for same time frame.

Click on the tab under the Radar: "72 hour precip" for the overlay and add it. It is way more accurate than the gauges are showing for my area. Shows the 7"+

Just spoke with my cousin and he said he had 4"+ about 3 miles west of GW and 6"+ about 8 miles NE of GW. 1.6" in northern Live Oak and a good friend told me he had 2" or so in SE Atascosa. He was down in Rockport and said he had 12" down there.

Thanks for the link stx. We have the West Texas Mesonet that uses those same weather stations, but it is great to be able to see the rest of the state. Thanks, again!!!

We sure needed the rain in Simmons between GW ad TR. Hoping we got the 6+ inches. I was there two weeks ago and it was pretty burnt.

We got anywhere from 10 to 12 inches in our gauges last week. Sure wish we'd gotten some of that in March, but we will take it!
