Ate there yesterday, having been told they had a great burger. And, by golly, they do have a great burger. Big and messy and tasty. Right up there with the burger ‘big dogs’. Small dumpy building and a big hungry fan base, so we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. I highly recommend it. I had the green chili cheese burger.

Very good burgers, just have to remember it's cash or check only. I try to stop whenever I'm Amarillo.

SW and Herbie, it never occurred to me to take a picture of the burger, so i have nothing to share other than a great review. It was a big danged burger - a two hander for sure, and a ‘wet’ one. I had juice halfway to my elbows. Just the way i like em.

Fries were just Ok, being about average.

My son went to college in Canyon, so we ate at Coyote often. Fries are excellent, I recommend the Bacon cheeseburger. The burger from hell is more from purgatory than hell.

Now I am going to have to get on Yelp and look at the food porn from there.

Yep those burgers and then the green chile cheese fries look legit.

Side note: I hate it when people post blurry/hazzy photos and expect me to enjoy that.

Ok, i’ve rethought the fries rating. We are dragging the trailer south through the Big Empty and stopped for lunch in Dickens, Tx. Ate at the Caprock Cafe. Not bad, but i was re-educated on what bad or average fries are like. Wish i was back at Coyote Bluff.

Dang, that looks good. For the record, I had the Green Chili Cheeseburger and standard fries. Looks like I should have had the green chili fries.

I used to live in Amarillo and ate at Coyote Bluff at least once a week. Haven't been back in about 5 years, but eat there every time I pass through. The fries are amongst the best I have ever had, but Coyote Bluff and Herd's in Jacksboro are my top 2 burger in Texas. As much as I like Herd's, Coyote Bluff gets the nod for better restaurant, based on the fact they have fries (rather than chips) to go with amazing burgers.
