What brand/model paint sprayer do you recommend and which brand to stay away from? Application would be strictly home owner / residential projects (painting of walls, doors, cabinets, etc)

I have the Graco Pro X7 airless....Easy operation and pretty basic...Painted lots of cabinets and trim with no issues..Just have to make sure and clean it good...

Something like above. You will spend 5 or 600 to get into one. Use Floetrol paint conditioner.

Have y’all seen the battery powered Graco sprayers that have a reservoir like an auto sprayer? For the small, do it yourselfer, I’ve heard some good stuff. Otherwise the big Graco’s in my opinion. Just take care of it and keep it clean or you’ll be cussing it after it sets long enough for a check valve to rust up and not build pressure again

We bought a Wagner, believe it was $150~ from Lowe’s. It has surpassed my expectations. I e trained in paint and body work, I was expecting at best having to apply 3 coats due to uneven and thin areas. It payed down a nice even smooth coat with non thinned interior paint. I’d have no problems tackling an entire house with it.

+1 on using the Floetrol.

Don't think you could go wrong with the Graco magnum pro X7 airless, nice little painter, iirc, it has a repairable pump (packing's) which many cheap sprayers do not. "pump kits" or replacement packing's for my painters run about $40, but that is for commercial line painters. If you will use it to make side $, might consider stepping up to the x19, but either way, get one with a cart or stand, much easier to deal with.

Another great little sprayer on the cheap is the Krause & Becker and only $160 ish from harbor freight, get a coupon and get it even cheaper. We have around 100k in commercial sprayers and I bought one of these for our interior, only think I disliked was the small cart, it is built for 1 gal. but you can set it on some thing solid and use 5 gal buckets. What I like about this one is it has been fairly easy to flush after using and without a ton of waste. Here is a link to copy and paste

Nice thing about Graco is parts availability, pretty much any Sherwin Williams has tips and hose parts as well as online

Always flush both the pump, line and reverse the tip and flush it as well. If it is a latex and you flush with water, make sure it is stored certainly dry during cold weather, or kept above freezing.

I have an older Wagner Power Sprayer Pro (airless, about 12 years old maybe). While it did the job and I had few complaints I suspected there were (are) better options. I used it to paint most of the inside of a 2000 sq ft house.

Graco or Titan. Wagner's are OK for small jobs but will eventually fail. I've had a Graco 390 for 30 years. Never had a problem. It cost around $1500 years ago.
