I’m going to get my parents ramp or walker steps. They don’t want it to look to ADA ( no offense, don’t know how to word it) if they go with larger “steps” for a walker etc, I’m looking for ideas for a handrail. Their home is pier and beam so there is a 2’ climb that needs to be tiered..
Any ideas?

When I googled this, I found out there are a few Pinterest pages with ideas. One has 43 different ideas. I don't have an account so I couldn't see more than the name and picture of this one, but I liked it: This is called a Trex Accents deck with ramp. Might be worth signing up for Pinterest, or getting the wife to. Good luck.

But they forgot rails for the two steps You could add some. I like how on the ramp, the side is raised, so that you won't fall off, instead of the normal railing...there are other examples I found on the Pinterest thingamabob.

What's the maximum amount of run you can have for the 24" rise? If you could, post a pic of the landing, approach and entry. First thought is for you to build the ramp from composite material over a conventional frame. Get that built and install a rail using pipe flanges and pipe for a rustic modern look. Or, build it, send pic's and dimensions to RAMBALL. He will fabricate and deliver to his dealer in Princeton.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I've built many, many feet of handrails out of 1 7/8" round tubing. It is 14 gauge, not a terribly expensive material, looks nice, and makes for a good handle.
