Generally good plan Texas If you’re planting mud flats as they drawdown how do start mid July and go through the first week of September.

I prefer BYG. You need to water it unless time right before a good rain.

I’m doing a few lbs of byg as well, I doubt it will need water for awhile as springs run under it and the ground will stay wet for over a month maybe longer after being drained.

I've started planting my Japanese the first weekend of September, has worked well. Planting in august has not been easy for me, had to do a lot of watering. But, everyone knows it will rain the first weekend of sept

Yup. Just got to be careful with first week of dove season. We typically don’t hunt anywhere near the wetland for at least 10 days make sure all the seed is gone

Will be dove hunting a place close to Houston and won’t be back to the duck hunting place until teal opener. That’s why I’m planting in August
