A friend and I just got back from an Axis hunt with Duck_or_bleed . We found him from ads on this site and noticed he got rave reviews from members who had hunted with him. I will add another rave review for him...we had a ball with him hunting 4000 acres of free range. We both got nice axis...I would post pics but my photo hosting site is screwed up right now. He was very hard working, and a real hoot to be with. We had a little adventure with a flash flood after a storm..but it turned out all good! Also managed to drop a couple pigs as a bonus.
If you are looking for Five Star Mint-on- the-pillow type hunting with your pick of monster bucks parading around, this is not the place for you. If you want a real hunt with a real guide, and a real good chance at great game, this IS the place for you!
As an added bonus, the guide/outfitter introduced me to a new treat- Banana and Mayonnaise sandwiches! They taste a LOT better than they sound!
Thanks for a great hunt and a great time Mark!

Tom

I'm Tom's friend that accompanied him on the hunt. It was my first Axis hunt and it won't be the last. Everything he said about the outfitter is true. Now, for nyalubwe......he's the real deal too. He has lots of knowledge about lots of different things, and he has little trouble killing what he's shooting at. His 4 one shot kills speak for themselves. I wasn't brave enough to try the banana/may sandwiches personally.

Thanks for the reviews. Always good to know who the good outfitters are. Do you have a link to a website, or how did you find them?

Eddie he has no website or FB page...we found him right here on THF through his ads and reviews by other satisfied members...which mean more to me than unknown "references"...

Thank you. I must have missed his ad on here. When I read a good review on an outfitter, I like to see pictures of their place, their land and the animals that they have there. If the prices are fair, I bookmark them for future consideration.

Mark and I stood our ground and boycotted the banana/Miracle whip sandwiches. Actually it was pretty easy to do.

I will say this though, if you book a hunt with Mark, you HAVE to ask him to make the pulled pork tacos......Holy Crap their good! Mark's a good dude, and super hard working.

BTW, I'm ready to come back.

After guiding for a few years my standards are pretty high for the profession. Me and a couple of other THF members went at the beginning of May and had a blast. I definitely learned how to hunt on sleep deprivation. Mark accommodated all of my special needs for the trip (hunted a day early so I could leave early). Great guy and I guarantee you will have a good time.
