Just pulled some 1015s from our garden. What’s the best way to dry / store them?

I tie them up in bunches and hang them from the ceiling in my garage . They last till spring and then start rooting if you don't use them .

Just keep them dry and in the dark. Do not clean before storing.

Do I need to trim off any of the roots or green ends before storing them?

I leave mine in the garden until the tops are almost gone, then give most of them away, and put the rest in my vegetable crisper in my refrigerator. They might keep until thanksgiving.

Put them in milk crates in a cool dark spot......

I hang mine in a shady, breezy spot outside for several days, maybe a week or two. You want the roots and skins to really dry out before you trim them. After the bulbs get dry , I store mine in a cool dark spot, garage or downstairs, hanging in a mesh bag.
I just planted my chiles and tomatoes, we had our last night time temps in 30's last week I hope. My shallot harvest won't be til July. Wish I could grow some good sized onions .
