Anyone have experience with this combo? Was at a pawn shop and they had it marked for $260 with a $150 Mueller scope. I didn't want the gun in all honesty but when I talked them down to $225 out the door I couldn't pass it up. Gun worth a damn? Will be a truck gun pretty much.

I wouldn't give $5 for the scope, but if that rifle isn't jacked up in some way I'd say you stole it. If you like the cartridge, that is. Sounds like you talked yourself right into the sale. BTDT!

I I have two, one is a coyote heavy barrel and the other is a standard barrel. They are great shooting guns this is it part of the odd caliber anymore but it will kill some game .

Go buy all the Ammo you can find first off
I had a model 70 laminate stock in 7mmwsm
Only reason I traded it was it was a righty and I’m left handed
I liked the cartridge. For the performance it was mild on the bench. Much more pleasant to shoot than the A-bolt 7mm rem that replace it
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Yes, it should be a good gun. Ammo can be near impossible to find. But good news is, I have plenty of Winchester 7 WSM brass if you need some custom ammo for it. I have done several load work ups on that specific gun for a guy with 2 different bullets and multiple powders. He had a "Ricky Bobby" load for a really fast load, and a target load that shot really good. Buzz me if I can help you!

Here's my 7mmWISSUM. Sold it, I screwed up, built it for the 400 yard clay shoots, so it was a single shot. cost me $$ when I sold it. Freekin thing was a laser. Great caliber, rebarrel that M70, stock and trigger bottom metal rock it

Anyone know that if I bought a after market stock for this thing if it would be just a regular short action stock or something else?

I believe it has to be the correct length specifically for WSM. It's not the same as a regular short action 70.

Anyone know that if I bought a after market stock for this thing if it would be just a regular short action stock or something else? Like said above it is a different stock for the WSMs mostly due toi their larger diameter cases than standard short action rounds. I know where a Hogue overmoulded stock with the AL bedding block is that could be had for a good price if interested in that.

Push feed or CRF?? Most of the tupperware stocked guns are basic Black Shadow models in PF...BUT the "Ultimate Shadow" is the same barreled action as a Sporter in CRF. ULT Shadows were built both by the "old" New Haven plant, and later at the South Carlina plant and marked as BACO - Made in USA and have the new trigger too.
The BACO 270 ULT Shadow I have is a wearing a BACO Sporter stock I picked up - the rifle's original owner had bought the gun to wear a Mickey stock, and sold the stock before he could sell the rifle 'cause he wanted a 257 Wby instead for a mule deer & speed goat gun - and untuned ammo with the last of the 5+ years old leftover loads I had developed from the load info on the bottle of H4831 SC for a T3's breakin loads, is GTG MOA at 100+ yards even with recycled Sierra 150gr's that put last years WT in the freezer."Waste Not Want Not" if they still shoot gooder enuff to make meat at 30-30 ranges.
If you decide to move this 7WSM along lemme know and we'll talk about it, especially if it is a ULT Shadow. It'd pair nicely with my USRAC M70 Fwt 7x57. Ron

Boyd's will have both Laminates in a variety of colors and various style in both laminate & wood stocks..but the choices will start at bare bones basic at around $140/$150'ish and lots of addon's to "customize" the stock + Shipping and whatever/whoever you use for the installation.
Thats why I found a cherry used factory Sporter grade stock for a drop in for about $100 shipped. CDNN has had Winchestr Sporter and Featherweight factory replacement stocks that will fit the gun from time to time, with the low end uncheckered FWT's starting at $50 + shipping but their on hand inventory is not a for sure thing, like Boyd's. Worth looking though. Ron
