Finally got out to the range to see if my Ruger MK IV would still shoot well after it had spent some quality time being "safteyfied" by the nice folks at Ruger. It appears that it still shoots well. Iron sights, from a bench rest, at 25 yards, and six different kinds of ammo.

Absolutely.

Who's your optometrist?? Only half-kidding!

Think you found your ammo. Very good shooting!

Been wanting one of those pistols for years.

FiremanJG, the best thing I did for my iron sight shooting on this pistol is the addition of a tiny speck of white craft paint on the front sight, applied with a sharp toothpick. Tightened my groups considerably. My sons and grandsons still outshoot me consistently, but I at least have them thinking about the old man coming to the line!

I have no doubt some contrast of front sight to rear aperture is extremely helpful! up
