I'm looking for a single stack to carry. Any recommendations?

Look at Kahr pistols. They have a wide rage of single stack carry pistols starting affordable with the CW series. Which in itself is a great pistol. They only get better from there.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I carry a fullsize, 5”, Les Baer SRP everyday. Very happy with it. It is the most reliable and most accurate pistol I have ever owned including Sigs, Kahrs, XD, M&P, Glocks, Wilsons, and a few others.

Reliability is the singlemost important factor by far - absolutely paramount above all other factors.

Lots of good CCWs’ mentioned here . You might want to go test out some at an indoor range if available . I carry XDs .45ACP single stack or my LC9s 9mm . Both are great carries . .45 is slightly heavier .

I have carried a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and I currently carry Glock 43 and they both carried very well. I put Pearce +1 bases on my Glock 43 mags to make them 7 rounders and they have been flawless. I would highly recommend them.

On a budget you might want to look at the Ruger EC9, I have really liked mine.

I've been carrying a S&W M&P .40c (not a single stack) for quite a while. After more practice with it my new carry will be my new Sig 365. So far this gun has just excelled and is very impressive. There has to be a model coming out soon with a manual safety, so if you look for that just sit tight, it's on the way. The owner's manual shows one, so it has to be in the works. I have a pretty thorough (although one day) review of the P365 on here somewhere. So far I really like it. I have about 500 rounds through it so far without a single hiccup.

I carry a Kahr CW380 everyday, everywhere. Fits great in a Desantis pocket holster.

XDs 9mm. There are 3 different magazine sizes, 7, 8 & 9.

7 is flush with the grip, 8 & 9 are both extended. I use the 9 as a backup/reload and carry with the 7 and replaced the floor plate with a NDZ plate that has a slight extension for my pinky finger. Makes shooting it a breeze.

This here.

I carry an XDS .45, and only have 6 rounds.

I like my Shield. The triggers on two Kahrs I looked at were horrible. I’d like to shoot a 365 but I’m happy with the S&W

S&W Shield checks all the boxes for a carry gun IMHO.
