just put a ham bone in the pot with about 1/2 pd of trimmings plus whats on the bone...gonna put one pound of beans in in about an hour or so and let them cook on high for about 45 minutes to an hour. then add my onions, jalapenos to cook to the end and then....chop my cilantro and throw it on top put the lid on and turn the burner off and let them sit for awhile....it dont get no better....unless you have about 3 gallons of fresh oysters and you wanna fry them and invite me over for dinner my friends. grin

Sounds good. I'll pass on the fried oysters, but will eat a gallon raw. up Hey NG, make sure you put a can of refried beans in there to thicken your potlikker. grin
