I need to get a lock box to keep a handgun away from my young son. Looking for something that he can't access, but I can get into quickly, should I need to. It would also be nice if it wasn't the size of a small refrigerator. I am not looking for a general gun safe, just something to hold one handgun in the bedroom. Any recommendations?

I have this and really like it. https://www.thegunbox.com/
Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.

I bought a cheap one at academy and hate it. The door is not spring loaded. You have to unlock it and pick up the back to get the door open. I need to install a spring inside the latch myself. Keep saying I'm going to but haven't done so yet. Pm me tonight if you want the brand to avoid buying it.

I have 2 different handgun safes. I have a biometrics (finger print) safe that I like a lot. It provides access in under 2 seconds. The only issue with it is the area inside won't hold my Glock 35. The pistol is too long for that safe. It will hold a standard length pistol, though. The other one I have is a standard finger key pad. It works, and it is also fast. But the opening is a little narrow, and can hang up a little when reaching in and pulling out a full size pistol. This one holds my G35 fine. Both work well. I have 3 of the Sentry Safe Quick-Access. Found them on sale at Cabela's, had a coupon, and then used points. Got them for next to nothing. Have mine and my wife's prints programmed in as well as a code. Keep 2 in the house, and one in the shop. Holds full size Glocks, and it will hold a sub-compact Glock with the wife's Lady Smith as well. I have no complaints. https://www.cabelas.com/product/shooting...66.uts?slotId=2

I have this one VLine Gun Box. Fits in the top drawer of my nightstand and holds two pistols. Very quick access.
