I just had my father's 22LR repaired. I'm 66 and he had that gun since his early teens. Does it matter what brand of ammo I shoot in it?

I apologize if my posts upset you.

Montgomery Wards "Western Field" brand. It says 22LR only. Oiless and smokeless I'm guessing made around 1935 ish
