We’re looking for a small family lease west of the metroplex. It would be for my parents, me and my wife and my sister and her husband. All of our kids are still several years from being able to hunt. Looking for a place with year round unrestricted access, and a place that only we hunt and have access too. Not interested in buying 3 spots on a big lease. It would need a House/cabin that could sleep up to 6 (though outside of opening weekend and thanksgiving weekend, it’s very unlikely our schedules let us all be there at the same time. Cabin will need electricity, water, A/C and heat. All of us are long time hunters who will abide by any management rules agreed upon. All good honest church going folks who just want a place to take our family. Here is a list of some things my father sent me that he’s looking for.

-House or cabin... needs to sleep at least 6... if more, even better
-Electricity, a/c, heat
-50-200 acres... preferably west of dfw
-Fishing, hunting..river,lake
-Nice trees
- Year round access

Its likely we would not all be able to go at the same time, all the time. While deer hunting would be great, budget may not allow it. Hogs, squirrel, varmints, birds, and some fishing would be great.

It may not be out there, but we have our fingers crossed.

I wish you luck, but that sounds like a tall order.

IMO, any place <200 acres, with a house that sleeps 6, with year round access, fishing, etc; is gonna be used & enjoyed by the property owner. It would take a lot of money to maintain such a place, I'd be prepared to pay a good bit for it. Just my opinion. Good luck in your search.
