FINALLY!!! I finally found my load and in my opinion dialed in! .224 / 55gr Nosler Ballistic Silvertips, 27.0gr CFE223 powder, cci450 magnum primers, C.O.A.L. 2.240", shot from 100m out of my Wilson Combat 14.5" 1:7twist barrel around 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Very accurate bullet and great for use in hunting applications on the recommended species by Nosler!

Nice shooting. Why the Magnum primers?

I consider the magnum primers to be the spark plug of the cartridge, they ignite hotter and work better for spherical powders like CFE223. Ive never had a failed cci450 primer, they also can handle the temperature changes well and it has proven its self in my book to be successful.

Nice goin !!!

Should I be surprised the 55gr does so good with the fast 7 twist? My Seekins 14.5" 7 twist loves 69-77gr over 24.0 Varget, I think I gave away all my 55's

Does the CFE .223 seem cleaner?
