With the summer rut coming up I was curious to see if anyone has had any success rattling Axis in?

I have rattled in 3 different axis bucks at 3 different locations on the Kerr WMA back in the late 90's while on a first week of Dec. whitetail hunt there. I was rattling for whitetails and those axis bucks were the only thing that came to horns in two days. With the rut in the months to come I would expect them to do the same. In Dec they did not come rushing in like a WT but more of a slow walk to the exact spot of the rattling. I let the first two pass but finally shot the last one I rattled in.
