It's down in the Off Topic section. I am guessing related to them being owned by a private equity firm out of NY and they are are wanting to go public so distancing themselves. Jmo at this point.

I still don't think ice cost that much. So since I'm not a contributer to thier sales. Oh well! We need to focus on our own Rep/Sen and let them know where to stand.

Never bought one, went with a RTIC instead. Very stupid move that they will regret.

Yeti’s aren’t worth the excessive price for a bulky low capacity cooler.

Yeti’s aren’t worth the excessive price for a bulky low capacity cooler. That was my observation as well. A lot of space and weight for a much smaller holding capacity. Surely there's a good, in-between cooler available at a more reasonable price.

We took it on one fishing trip and that was all before he returned it. For the weight, footprint, and capacity you are better off getting an Igloo and purchasing extra ice for you trip with your increased storage capacity.

Until you stand on or drop a bag of ice in the igloo and crack it out. I don’t think the Yeti prices are justified compared to competing roto coolers though

I have one that I got over 10 years ago but will never purchase another thing from them. Don't think they made a good choice in doing this.

Just saw on tv that there is more to the story than everyone is reading
RTIC ?? - bought one - cannot for the life of me open the zipper - it takes both hands to force the thing open - they sent a tube of something to put on zipper so you can open it. Really? paid a bunch for the cooler and I have to doctor it up every month or so in order to get into it? Not for me

I emailed Yeti when I read this. Below is their response. Always two sides to a story.
We're writing in response to your recent email inquiry.
A few weeks ago, YETI notified the NRA Foundation, as well as a number of other organizations, that we were eliminating a group of outdated discounting programs. When we notified the NRA Foundation and the other organizations of this change, YETI explained that we were offering them an alternative customization program broadly available to consumers and organizations, including the NRA Foundation. These facts directly contradict the inaccurate statement the NRA-ILA distributed on April 20.
Further, the NRA-ILA stated in that same public communication that "[YETI has] declined to continue helping America's young people enjoy outdoor recreational activities." Nothing is further from the truth. YETI was founded more than 10 years ago with a passion for the outdoors, and over the course of our history we have actively and enthusiastically supported hunters, anglers and the broader outdoor community. We have been devoted to and will continue to directly support causes tied to our passion for the outdoors, including by working with many organizations that promote conservation and management of wildlife resources and habitat restoration. From our website to our film footage and from our social media posts to our ambassadors, YETI has always prominently featured hunters pursuing their passions. Moreover, YETI is unwavering in our belief in and commitment to the Constitution of the United States and its Second Amendment.
Thanks for reaching out to YETI.

Well, Yeti's response sounds a bit more realistic that the NRA claims that Yeti was refusing to sell to them. Like a bunch of other vendors, the NRA wasn't buying the product so much as offering discounts to members who could buy the product. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20180421/florida-alert-yeti-drops-nra-foundationAll these people are getting butthurt because they are not getting product discounts through the NRA. Surely they didn't join the NRA to get discounts, did they? NRA vendors have come and gone over the years. Until just recently, loss of a vendor would not have been brought to public attention by the NRA or the vendor. Now it would appear that the NRA will make companies feel their wrath if they opt out of offering discounts to the NRA.

Most won't listen to Yeti's reason, the NRA email is all they will open their mind to.

It was a lobbyist who put out the NRA statement. They are paid well to do what they did. She happens to be a past president of the NRA. Some folks only see one side to anything or paid to do so. It would be good to see an official response by the NRA, not a lobbyist. Who would want to do business with them if they attack you for a business decision?

The NRA has not put out any statements to the contrary or denouncing the statements of their lobbyist, so they don't exactly seem to have any problem with what was said.

I doubt they will if the money is rolling in. In the meantime, Slide Fire is going out of business in Moran...

The Seiders are great folks and own a ranch of their own. They are very avid hunters and management minded- so it makes no sense that they would trash the NRA -

It appears to me Yeti is not the thriving business they once were and for that reason they have stopped the give aways to non profit organizations.

I'm gonna get some used plywood, thick styrofoam, glue, screws, hinges, hinge lock, paint, and sealant and make a wooden Beti for about 10 dollars. May make a handle out of a chain. Bet it works just as good as a thousand dollar yeti. What a scam. Bet it dont cost 50 bucks to manufacture.
Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.
