Is there a website that has values on vintage ammunition?

How do Estate Sales value and price ammo ?

I see a few forums for cartridge collectors but they speak a whole different lingo...

It’d be nice to just look up a headstamp and condition to get a base value and move on , like a Kelly’s blue book for ammo...

My wife does estate sales. The way she prices ammo is 1) is it in the original box and if it's old you can find them on ebay. But you have to look at items sold, not what people are asking. I stay up to date on ammo prices and try to give an honest price. Example, if there is a box of Corelokt 30.06 ammo and all rounds are there, I would say 10.00. It depends on the caliber and amount.

It is my observation that the condition of the box is a deciding factor.

What would reloading components bring at estate sales? I always wonder if I were to drop dead my wife wouldn't get near what all my stuff is worth. I have enough reloading components (brass, primers, powder, and bullets) to assemble many many thousands of rounds of ammo, many pistol calibers and a few rifle calibers.

The best place to sell vintage ammunition is on Gunbroker. It's a bit of trouble to package up and ship but it'll be worth it especially if you have a lot.

I think most folks are shipping ammo via UPS with ORM-D Small Cartridges Stickers

The only issue being that few UPS locations take them and the hassle of driving to get to the locations that do...

But it's legal

They just had a big estate sale online auction in Columbus OH.. Stuff went for crazy prices. I think one could have done better on E-bay. It was a sweet lot, lots of dies, bullets, old shotgun ammo in boxes, scales, presses.. I ended up with a can of Kroil and some JB bore paste..

I don't see where he said to use USPS.

UPS is legal and simple.

Pass the gravy.
