I’m going to buy one or the other. Leaning toward the Tikka, but haven’t even seen one yet. The Ruger is nice. Both are light. Your Thoughts?

I had the Ruger Precision 22 but it was ungainly to me, looking forward to the Tikka.

I LOVE the idea that tikka rimfire and conterfire rifles are designed for the same stock pattern. Seems so brilliant that everyone should do it. Eventually I want a custom tikka and seems awesome to shoot both in one nice stock.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I don't see how you could pass up the T1x given Tikka's reputation for quality and value. If it had been out when I decked out my Ruger 10/22, I would have bought it in a second and left the 10/22 as-is.

I've actually heard pretty mediocre reviews of the Ruger American for accuracy. The Target model does pretty well, but the regular non-Target models are just so-so. At least for a bolt gun I mean. My 10/22 with a $100 barrel will outshoot the non-Target models from what I've seen.

CZ I know Tikka makes an excellent action and barrel combo but I just have never cared for their stocks. CZ makes outstanding rimfires!

I only had one CZ and won't ever own another. Took a trigger kit to have a decent trigger, and even then, it shot like complete carp. I got on rimfirecentral forum, and posted the thread asking for advice and I got tons of suggestions for different mods to the gun to make it shoot decent. Found out that it seemed most folks had to mess around with them to get decent results. I suppose I'd just been spoiled with Savage and Tikka, but none of them required anything other than sanding the stock to float the barrel and they all shot lights out.
I do love the concept of CZ. Beautiful rifles built with quality that perform great. I just think it doesn't work out that way in the real world nearly as often as you'd expect.

Ruger is the last thing I's pic for almost anything...... In my eyes they own the revolver industry and every pistol in the SR series falls in the “best bang for the buck” category. The SR1911 really shines.

CZ I know Tikka makes an excellent action and barrel combo but I just have never cared for their stocks. CZ makes outstanding rimfires! That's kind of funny. I looked at a CZ with the synthetic stock, thought it was one of the worst I'd ever seen.

I suppose I'm in the minority but I love a beautiful walnut stoc and prefer it greatly of synthetic.

My favorite handgun is my Ruger SR9c even though it’s the most inexpensive one I own. When it comes to long guns I can’t conceive of ever picking Ruger over Tikka. I also will take a CZ first.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

My 10/22 with a $100 barrel will outshoot the non-Target models from what I've seen. I guess it depends on what your use of the rifle is. The RAR is not a benchrest, competition rifle. I have a standard model and can typically put 9 out of 10 rounds into a 1" square at 50 yards with cheap, bulk ammunition. Maybe that isn't accurate to you, but I would get every squirrel I shot at...

I have two 452s that will both shoot one hole groups at 50 yards with various readily available ammo.. the American has a nice Walnut stock and the cadet has been camo spray painted.. I did the trigger mod to both with the American being set lighter
I got a 455 threaded and it has a better trigger out of the box and shoots just as well
I am sure the Tikka is nice but I will have to give a shout out to CZ rimfires as well..
The little Savage Tacticals are cheap and shoot well too.. my brother has the 22 LR and I have the 22 magnum, that gun is a lot of fun with a can for varmints
