Took my coyote call and trusty 223 in the back pasture, hoping for a hog or coyote. The wind was gusting to speeds that worried me in the 10 foot blind. I can’t remember it blowing that hard unless it was a hurricane. No coyote, no hog, no bobcat, and i didn’t even see my flightless buzzard.
Maybe tomorrow...
Not my monkeys, not my circus...

They all took "flight" in the wind.

It's howling here. A buddy and I are wanting to go out and do some long range shooting today but we're just playing it by ear at this point. I don't mind compensating for wind, but I'm not a big fan of putting the cross hairs on one corner of the pasture to hit the other corner.

Maybe tomorrow... Nothing puts a pasture to sleep like the wind does, everything just holes up.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

This is true ^^^. I hate the wind.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

While I agree that high wind isn't your friend most of the time, you won't know if anything is out there if you don't go looking for it. I have mostly had bad days when the winds were really, but I have had some really good days like this one... http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/7140871/High_Winds,_but_18_Hogs_Down!_#Post7140871 {sorry, can't get it to hyperlink}
