Nice article but no research to support it.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

Kinda cuts both ways. All the card-carrying eyeworm advocates don’t have the research that proves the worm is the cause of quail decline. All they have proven is that the quail have worms. The effects are unsubstantiated.

I think the below excerpt sums up all you need to know about quail populations. But if Dr Rollins comes out and says there is nothing we can do for quail except pray for rain then his funding drys up. However, I'm all about helping so if they did determine some medicated feed would help I'd probably throw some out.

"Peoples said weather and habitat have always been the major keys that support good quail numbers. But when a population is stressed by environmental conditions such as drought or extremely high temperatures, parasites can affect overall health"

I agree with most of what you said but how do you explain the previous three seasons where we had tremendous quail seasons and eyeworms were present in all. I guess all that rain and moisture drowned the eyeworms. The eyeworm has been around all of my life and I am pushing 60. This is nothing new. Your funding comment is very valid in my opinion.
