Black bellies whistling ducks love feeders. I started getting wood ducks last year. Pic I got last week of 9 wood ducks enjoying the hog holes

I had hem for the first time this year. Had a group of 10-15 land this year during deer season.

We had them on our feeders in San Saba county for about 3 years in a row and that was it. Probably 5 years ago.

Had wood ducks a few years back hitting a feeder, thought it pretty unusual but sure was nice to watch!

Make sure you have good clean corn. Ducks are highly sensitive to aflatoxin poisoning.

Nice pic! They have been vacuuming up corn for the past 6 yrs now from spring till mid Nov. around me. They start out with 3 or 4 only then pretty soon the numbers rocket up to around 45-50. They can clean up corn as fast as a flock of turkey. They are really bad in bow season on corn I put out with tailgate feeder or hand corn. They show up within a minute or two of when the feeder is set to go off and don't leave till there is no corn left.mad

Cool. I was in Stephens county and two wood ducks came in last May. On top of a mountain!
