Includes changing pintail back to 2, shifting the late season dove dates later in North and Central zones, and moving up the South zone opener.
https://tpwd.texas.gov/business/feedback...game_bird.phtml

I don't care a lot about the later dove shift, but I do a lot about the pintail limit and opening the South dove zone earlier.

No opinion on Pintails but extending the fall dove season makes better sense that extending the winter season

2 weeks of dove late Jan would be great
They were all over my winter wheat, and still are.

I voted to extend the late Central dove season. My comment was that most of us are tagged out on deer by then, or have what we want in the freezer, and a dove gumbo sure is good on a cold day!

How many pintail you think you would have bagged last season if it was 6?

Sounds great, Early dove season sucked but January I was covered up! As far as getting two pintails this is AWESOME! There were tons of times this year I shot my one pintail and then kept seeing them fly in the rest of the hunt having to watch them swim around my spread mad!!

Heck yeah I agree and submitted my form. I let them know last year the north zone dove dates were not ideal. This is what I asked them for.

Yes I do, because the first duck I ever shot during that period was a mallard hen, a 100 point duck bang

Remember the point system well. We had mostly ringnecks except when the canvasbacks came in. One and done.

Me too. First duck I ever shot was a redhead drake. Day over. Also remember shooting 10 pintail in a big rainstorm in an AR rice field pit. If you could see them they were in range. That was 10 pintail more than we'd shot all year.

Yes remember it well. Didn't Lone Star Beer print little pamphlets every year with the 'value' of each duck below their picture?
