Hello all,
I've got 540 acres near Winters in Runnels county that I can lease out for this spring's turkey season. I'm swamped at work so this would be an unguided hunt with access for the entire season. It has over one mile of Elm Creek running through it with heavy cover along it with wheat and CRP fields. You may also kill hogs and other predators during this season. There is also a catch and release stock tank with bass and catfish as well. The price is $2000 for up to 4 responsible hunters. I have two RV hookups (w/o sewer) for $10/night if interested. There are three blinds on the property with corn and protein feeders provided.
Thanks,
Don Rogers

The possibility of taking 16 birds off 540 acres? That's a bunch.

Good luck!

Lease is still available and if an individual wants the lease then would let it go for $500/gun for the season.

We take 10-12 birds a year off of 180 acres. 16 birds off 540 is very doable if the population is there.

Right close to where I think the OP is located, about 10 years ago a friend and I counted over 60 turkeys in a wheat field. Parts of that area near Elm Creek near Ballinger is loaded with turkeys.

I had a lease near Ballinger for 18 years, lots of turkeys on Elm creek and the Colorado river. We butted up to the river and never had any trouble killing turkeys, and always had plenty.

Op, PM is incoming
