Anyone bought one yet? I've been debating getting rid of my diesel 6.7L since we have a one ton that is used for abusive pulling. If I get one definitely going to have to wait for some serious discount incentives later in the year.

They rarely reduce them with incentives.

Wait til 2019 when they put the highly rumored 7.0 L V8 in it. Unless you like the EcoBoost 6 cylinder they have in them now, then no need to wait. I have never seen deasl on a raptor, no matter the year model. They sell themselves and are highly sought after.

Are they seriously thinking about a 7 liter v8? I cant realistically see that happening.

Not sure if it will be a 7.0L, but all indications are that they will have an 8 cylinder option. Should start seeing it at auto shows in the next few months if it is going to happen. The Raptor Ranger looks pretty slick also for a small size truck.

By no means saying its impossible Gm made an 8.1 and ford and dodge have both made 7+ liter gas v8's in the past. I bet they go back to the 6.2 or some variant.

Those are historically terrible engines, both Ford and Dodge, they are too big for the low amount of power and terrible fuel mileage.

I would rather a V-8. I've never been a fan of a V-6 but there getting some serious power of a 3.5L. There's no replacement for displacement. I liked the old 6.2L option 7.0L would be better and then throw a supercharger on it.

The turbo V-6’s of today are making way more power than the V-8’s form 10 years ago.

To the OP if you only pay sticker then you did well. Good luck. Didn't buy nothing yet BOBO, and not sure how one would pay over sticker price. I'm more worried about getting screwed on my truck when I sale it. I work international and don't drive it much, its a 2012 F-250 lariat FX4, DPF deleted, EGR deleted, air bags and air compressor, 65 gallon aux/transfer tank, and B&W hide away. I have less than 45,000 miles on it.

I would not even consider a Rapter with a v6. I don’t care if it’s faster than the v8 or not....
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I have less than 45,000 miles on it. You would be shocked. The Sticker is just a suggested number. On high demand vehicles it supply and demand. One of the reasons Ford took the Raptor out of SVT’s hands was to up production, well it helped but demand still beats supply. You won’t get screwed on your truck if it’s a 12 with only 45k on it in a private sale. Stealership will try to ping you hard on the deletes

Although I think they are way cool trucks, I would not buy one for one simple reason...unless you are running baja style races, they are useless as a truck. Power, check. Style, check. Payload and towing, oops! The extreme offroad suspension limits the towing capacity to 5,000 lbs, and although I don't remember the exact payload capacity, it is dismal. I just got a brand new 2.7l ecoboost f150, and I am impressed with the v6 turbos. This thing will flat out fly, and tows GREAT. Towing capacity of 8200 lbs, and payload of 1,900 lbs...all that from the smaller of the two turbo motors.

All the dealers I ever ask strictly wont do it... but I have run into a few people over the years who have bought deleted truck from dealers.

Not considering trading it in, I can barley tolerate the negotiation on the price of the new vehicle. I would probably leave in hand cuffs if I had to deal on the trade.

Actually the 2017 has a listed 8k and 1200payload Disagree they are a pleasure to ride in if you don’t live on concrete all day. I’ve spent over 30 days in one on a mountain ranch. Every October I seem to threaten to buy one as my ranch beats me to death.

I know I did not pull those numbers out of thin air, so maybe the older models had a lower towing capacity.

I think the old model had a 7k towing. My buddy hauled his four door Jeep all over with his 6.2 raptor.
Payload I think in old one was only maybe 700. I can’t remember but think it was dismal. It was number one reason I didn’t go with original raptor.

To the OP if you only pay sticker then you did well. Good luck. Bobo is spot on. I've yet to see one sitting on a dealer lot that isn't marked up, and according to the salesman they can't keep them on the lots. I saw a dark grey one today that's one of the best looking Raptors I've seen. Walked over to check it out, and saw these. Well I can't upload pic, but marked up $25K and marked SOLD!

Guess I wont be getting one then if that's the deal. At the end of the day its just a truck, but sure is tempting after you ride in one. It'll be even more tempting with 7.0L V8, then topped it with a rouse supercharger.
