Your experience is radically different than most people I know.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

counter guy @ cabelas told me they were they best on the marker When I worked at Cabela’s there was pretty much a consensus among the younger salesmen that Vortex was the best. Some of them didn’t own a scope, most only had one rifle and scope and never once did I see one them looking through different scope brands to compare optical quality. And most people quantify a good scope as one having good glass. That's the least important characteristic anymore, at least IMO. Any $200+ scope will get you past legal shooting light. Reticles, adjustments, holding POI, etc are much more important. As I said before, IMO there's always something better at an equal or less price.

It’s amazing that Vortex remains in business with all these haters and faulty products they sell

They high or more known failure rate due to more volume. They may still have only a 1% return for failure rate on say the razor line but they also typically sell more than others too. I'll say this though after having a razor fail mid match it took a while for me to trust it after even with a clean bill of health from vortex.

They didn't do themselves any favors by moving production to China. Now their even more cheaply made.
