Anyone else have one? It's a BRNO with a Mauser action. Picked it up for $349

nice, I would change out the safety. Wonder why, I think that is a Dayton Tryster left side safety. I always ordered the right side Bueller until I couldn't find any for a while and use a couple of the right side Dayton Trysters with no issues other than I liked the looks of the Bueller better.

I'd change out the safety, too---to a 2- or 3-position Model 70 style safety. That's a good find, though for sure.

I like the safety. It's kind of quirky, and I believe the old Mauser's safeties were turned all the way to the left to fire. I'm probably going to drop a trigger and definitely toss the Tasco and put something decent on it. Lol

For $189 you can get the Gentry 3-position safety. I installed one myself...only tricky part is grinding the slot for the bolt lock pin. I put it on a 98 in .35 Whelen, added a trigger guard assembly from a Mark X refinished with Moly Resin, added a Timney and B&C Medalist. It turned out pretty classy.

I've looked admiringly at those safety setups but the Buelher and Dayton Tryster's were so much more cost effective.

I honestly prefer using the Buehler style over Model 70 three position. 3 position does look a lot better though.
