I bought my wife one of these for Christmas. She was tired of me taking her lap dogs hunting every weekend. I’ve taught her what HERE means but sometimes she has a listening problem. I’m thinking of Collar conditioning this mutt. I’m sure it won’t take much juice with the collar around her flank (she doesn’t have enough neck to hold one of my collars.) Has anyone else done this with a 8 pound dog?

Muffin was barking in the dog box. I put a bark collar on her. She never barked again. I no longer use the collar.

A small pinch collar, short check cord and praise is all you need with this little guy.

That’s all you would need with any dog if you wanted to keep them on a short check cord all of the time. The dog knows what the command means. She just doesn’t always comply. The question I’m asking is if anyone has used a collar on a dog this small.

I don't think the pressure will be too much based on size. I wouldn't turn it all the way up though. But starting at the lowest level and progress until you get the desired response.

I think this will work for me. It looks like the same remote that came with my pigeon launcher. So I already have half of it.
